Beziehung

And that night I kept thinking about was he true to me or was my best friend lying and such thoughts were more than enough to shake the foundations of the love we two shared.

A relationship according to me is the basic unit of the bond that ties the world together. And the foundation; foundation of a “real” relationship, I believe, is love, faith and truthfulness.  It’s not what we show from the outside but what we feel from the inside.
We can be like ‘I won’t let go, no matter what’ but not like ‘Now that I have it, I’m gonna hold on to it tight and strangle it to death.’ Even my mum gets irritated when I hover around her whole day long then how can we expect anyone else to bear with an attitude that can leave one “breathless.”

Communication is always the big word which strengthens the bond between two people. Communication is not just talking but listening and understanding too. Extensive communication or less of it is also harmful. And certainly it’s not just chatting online! It’s just everything!
We chat because we can’t meet not because we can meet but we are too lazy!

A balance should always be there between “with others” and “with self”. Everyone needs time for themselves too, to communicate with themselves talking to their own heart and mind, planning and proceeding.
It amazes me, hearing about love at first sight. To be true it’s not possible until it turns out to great in future which can be called a coincidence.
A great relationship does not depend on materials especially money and not even physique. Let’s say we and our siblings. I’m sure 90% of them fight all day as if it was another world war but there’s no selfishness involved, certainly not at a young age. Grown up fights, well they always have some personal motive.

And the irony is we call grownups more mature!
On what basis??
Just because they are ready to kill the other for a piece of land or maybe just ten rupees!!
The foundations of a relationship depend just on the attitude which might be soft all over or maybe just a hard coat with everything soft inside but there is no feeling of betrayal or hatred. Even fights and arguments are a necessity because excess of even love is bad but a fight doesn’t mean it has some sort of cruel and stupid personal interest behind it.
Doubt is one such word which can eat everything up and certainly a doubt shouldn’t be kept, it should be turned into a question but even the other person should be co-operative enough to clarify rather than run away from reality.

When we betray someone, it’s not only the other person we destroy but even ourselves. Betrayal is not just what we would be doing with others but our own conscience. We are making ourselves not fit for anyone’s love! And seriously a wrong deed and it’s doer none can ever be successful. Hurting others is never ever a good idea!
We all have often heard that a good relationship is made up of just giving and no taking. Well I don’t think this saying really stands true. We can’t clap with one hand or run with one leg similarly if one gives love the other should take and give in return. And when there’s a give and take involved there are expectations and of course when they are broken they do hurt!

We cannot build a complete palace if we don’t have enough material, similarly we shouldn’t try to build a bond which can break easily just because we lack some or the other virtue.
Why make others grieve because of us!! And mind it, it’s not just about girls and boys but our parents, family and God!

At the end what comes in my mind is,

“I mean, if the relationship can't survive the long term, why on earth would it be worth my time and energy for the short term?”
